Marie-Aude Thépaut will succeed Stéphane Dedeyan, who has been acting as interim CEO of CNP Assurances in addition to his duties as Chairman of the Executive Board of La Banque Postale. She will also join La Banque Postale’s Executive Committee, where she will notably be responsible for the development of insurance activities.
The appointment of Marie-Aude Thépaut as Chief Executive Officer of CNP Assurances will enable us to step up the development of our community bancassurance group. I would also like to welcome her to La Banque Postale’s Executive Committee. Marie-Aude’s strengths and expertise, demonstrated throughout her 17-year career at CNP Assurances and most recently at the head of the Europe BU (excluding France), will be a major asset in supporting the company’s transformation and development. I am looking forward to building, with her and the rest of the CNP Assurances team, the common future of our conglomerate. Together, we will continue to pursue our strategic objective of becoming the leader in impact finance by providing our customers with efficient, simple and useful bancassurance offers and services, and by developing synergies within Le Groupe La Poste and the major public financial centre, to help drive the ecological transition and ensure social and regional cohesion.

Philippe Wahl also extended his appreciation to Stéphane Dedeyan for his commitment to the development and transformation of CNP Assurances, his key role in the merger with La Banque Postale, and his interim management of CNP Assurances over the last four months.
Certified actuary, Marie-Aude Thépaut (40 years old) holds a Master's degree in mathematics, actuarial specialization, from the Euro-Institut d'actuariat (University of Western Brittany - 2006). She joined CNP Assurances in 2006 as an actuary and became, in 2011, the head of an actuarial department within the technical division.
In 2014, she took responsibility for the insurance risk department within the risk management division, before becoming the director of the subsidiary supervision and coordination department in 2020. In 2021, she was appointed director of performance management at the financial division before taking the lead of the new BU Europe outside France on June 1, 2022, and becoming a member of the Executive Committee. She has thus contributed to the international development of CNP Assurances by federating and leading European subsidiaries and branches (4 subsidiaries and 2 branches), negotiating strategic partnerships, and developing the open model in Europe.
